Event: BridgeValley to Host “Disaster Day” Simulation for Students

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. - BridgeValley Community and Technical College will host Disaster Day on Friday, October 31st, at Building 2000 on the South Charleston campus. This hands-on training event will give students from the Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Clay County High School - EMS Jump Start Pathway to Paramedic Initiative, and Nursing programs the opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge in a realistic, simulated disaster scenario.

 If weather and conditions permit, Air Evac is scheduled to land around 10:00 a.m. to simulate a patient transport, enhancing the realism of the exercise. The event demonstrates how BridgeValley students and faculty work collaboratively to respond to emergency situations while showcasing the college’s commitment to experiential learning.
