Annual community event returns to South Charleston campus Oct. 16 with family-friendly activities, Trunk or Treat and more

South Charleston, W.Va. – BridgeValley Community and Technical College and WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals will co-host the annual Family Fun Night on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the B2000 parking lot at BridgeValley’s South Charleston Campus.

The free community event will bring families together for an evening of fall festivities, entertainment and family-friendly activities. This year’s event will feature a circus and carnival-inspired theme, adding to the fun and festive experience for guests of all ages.

Families can enjoy Trunk or Treat, games, music, a costume contest and a photo booth throughout the evening. Food and refreshments will also be available.

“Family Fun Night is a wonderful opportunity to bring our campus and community together for an evening of fun and connection,” said Carla Blankenbuehler, Dean of Students at BridgeValley Community and Technical College. “We are excited to continue our partnership with WVU Medicine Thomas Hospitals and our other community partners to provide families with a fun and memorable evening together.”

Additional partners for the 2026 event include the West Virginia Regional Technology Park, City of South Charleston, and Park Place Cinemas.

Community members of all ages are invited to attend Family Fun Night. No registration is required. The event will be held at BridgeValley Community and Technical College, 2001 Union Carbide Drive, South Charleston, WV 25303.
