Michelle Wicks Appointed Vice President of Student Affairs at BridgeValley Community & Technical College

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W. Va. – BridgeValley Community & Technical College (BridgeValley CTC) President, Casey K. Sacks, Ph.D., is pleased to announce the permanent promotion of Michelle Wicks as the Vice President of Student Affairs for the college.

Ms. Wicks, who previously served as the Interim Vice President of Student Affairs since April 30, 2024, has accepted the full-time position following a thorough selection process.

Ms. Wicks brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her new role. With an impressive 32 years of experience in higher education, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to student success and institutional excellence. Prior to her interim role, Ms. Wicks served as the Director of Outreach and Communications at BridgeValley CTC for three years, where she played a pivotal role in enhancing the college's engagement and outreach efforts.

"I am honored to take on the role of Vice President of Student Affairs," said Wicks. "My focus will be on continuing to support and advocate for our students, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities they need to succeed."

Throughout her career, Ms. Wicks has been recognized for her leadership, innovative strategies, and dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment. Her extensive experience in various facets of higher education administration will be invaluable as she steps into this position.
